That's it...
As you know I like art, I like to dream, to invent, to create...
It took quite a long time before I started... No no no that's wrong what I say, in fact I've started for many many years ago, but I never ever finished my projects... This time it's different... Life really showed me the way... I felt it in the depth of my soul... I shall listen (OMG ;-)... I shall create... so I do...
And I am so very enthusiastic and sooo glad, I received my statute as an 'artisano' of the island.

In a few weeks I will probably start selling on the local markets and most of my work are orders from persons living on the island... You can imagine I am over the moon !!

The combination of my health practice and this project is just fabulous, I really am very very happy !!!

A few creations :

Rusted cat...Little black cat...Big black cat...Rusted owl...Jewelry...
Walking rusted lizard...Timanfaya, National's Park, protective symbol...
Rusting and resting... ;-)Timanfaya's symbol in steel...

Inspiration

S'art'samPosted by mona lanjri Sun, December 31, 2017 01:45:12
"ik vond net een leuk refrein
dus seffens een liedje schrijven, fijn
ook nog effe schilderen
kleuren laten verwilderen

new painting : not finished
woodwork : not satisfied
new Tree of Life, I start tomorrow, it's a promise
(damn I forgot, the kids are coming...it will have to wait)

;-)
but I promise you, I'll go on
;-)
next time photos (Oh my God, that's a deadline ;-)

xxx

Creating again...

S'art'samPosted by mona lanjri Sun, December 03, 2017 20:31:46
One of the main things that I missed these last years of my life was to create, to write, to sing, simply to create something...

Off course it wasn't anybody's fault as my own...as I never took a lot of time for it.

As a rather creative kid I've lost lots of my fantasy being an adult (what's in a name ;-). In the meanwhile I can think @ 10 things @ the time and never get bored. I have @ least 5 projects in the same moment, but often it stays a project, half-done or abandoned to start over with 5 other projects again..

So this time, I've decided to go for it, to continue, @ least to try ;-)

So I started singing again but unfortunately I have to accept that I lost a big part of my voice which disappointed me off course, but I accept it, as I didn't respect a lot this fabulous gift I received from the Universe @ the time. I couldn't get the high notes anymore and the only thing I can still consider is chanting mantra's. So Life pushed me in another direction. Now I think about guiding some meditations and continuing singing mantra's or @ least songs with the low notes... (and maybe, if I feel for it, I will share some mantra's on YouTube, but give me time, remember ? the 5 projects that become 10 and then will be maybe abandoned again ;-)

The drawing was still ok (thanks to God I didn't get a problem in my hand smiley and I hope sincerely that it will remain this way) : not that I am this fabulous x great artist, not @ all even, but @ least I enjoy it a lot, so I started all over again. As I always did pencil, this time I've decided to try to paint, which wasn't the most easy process ;-) because I didn't understand anything about how to apply my sketch on the painted underground (and as I can be a very lazy person who doesn't want to read on internet and a very stubborn person as well as I want to find it out myself). But ok, I managed it as I could... To start I've chosen Lanzarote's symbol, the gecko, to start with... My next project is to integrate some natural elements from Lanzarote itself in a more abstract painting.

As I like a lot the meaning of the Tree of Life, I decided to try something else with my hands and these are some results... Mainly I try to use the most natural material I can find.

About the Tree of Life :

it is a mystical x magical tree well known throughout many cultures. Different races and religions call it by different names, having their own tree in their own mythology. They have all similar meanings as the source of Life.
You have the roots, the trunk, branches, leaves and all types of fruit coming from the same tree. All of these make it very symbolic.

The roots dig deep, the trunk establishes a foundation, the branches reach out for sustenance, the leaves collect strength, and the fruit gives of itself.

First the tree provides the Breath of Life. This breath is also represented by the spiritual nature of air, which is to 'inspire'.
The leaves have been thought to be 'healing' in its properties. Healing from the physical point of view but also from a spiritual and emotional point of view.

The tree also symbolizes many aspects of life. In its branches it symbolizes reaching out to accept the nourishment of the sun. In its leaves, it captures that nourishment and cherishes it through transformation into life giving food. In its roots, it digs deep into the soul of the Earth. It embraces the Earth with its roots, and recognizes the soil as its mother. In the roots and branches it meets Mother Earth and Father Sun. It is really a full recognition of the life that supports it, and its spiritual origins.

To be continued.... smiley
